Department Of Urdu
The Department of Urdu was established in 1989 at U.G. Level and P.G. in 2009 at Chishtiya College, Khuldabad, under the Urdu Education Society Aurangabad, affiliated to Dr.Babasahed Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad.
Aim
- To provide higher education to rural youth.
- To provide education leading towards self-reliant life.
- To promote the Urdu language as the language of knowledge, and Urdu literature as the literature of values especially human values.
Vision:
Our vision is to preserve the rich cultural heritage of all the Urdu language, literature and the art forms like calligraphy, Painting, Ghazal singing and promote Urdu language and literature through teaching and research.

In order to achieve the highest levels of distinction in transmission of knowledge and to develop research capabilities the courses and the syllabus are constantly being updated taking into consideration the contemporary needs of the society. Our students after completing their course will have the opportunity to get employment in teaching profession, in the field of journalism and Electronic Media.

Literary Association
Various literary programs are conducted under the literary Association.

Eminent scholars have been invited to deliver lectures on Urdu literature and current topics for students of U.G and P.G.
Competitions
Debates , Elocution, Poster making, Essay Writing , Speech , Poetry , Project competition and seminars are being conducted for students.
Skill Development:
- Department organized three days Calligraphy Workshop for improving writing skill of students.
- Organize national level seminar and webinar.
