MISSION
The Department has taken upon itself the mission of working zestfully and resourcefully to impart the four skills of listening speaking reading and writing to students.

- To enable students to read and appreciate various forms of literature and critically interact with them from different perspectives.

- We have started calligraphy course.
- Departmental students took part in National Elocution competition.
The history of the English Department is inextricably linked with that of the College. It has been one of the prominent departments of the College since its inception as an independent department in 1989, beginning with an Undergraduate programme in English Language and Literature with English as Compulsory subject and Optional subject. Innovation has always been the hallmark of the Department and it now hosts a Certificate Course in Communicative English. With dedicated faculty members the Department continues to explore new avenues in its pursuit of excellence.
Department Of English was Established in 1989 and English optional subject is started in 1996 Members of the department are Dr.Quadri Syeda Arshia (M.A, M.Phil., Ph.D) Asst. Professor and the Head of Department , she id working since 1997, she is also the Coordinator of College IQAC since 2009. Another one is Dr. Mohammed Mujahed-Ur-Rahman (M.A, B.Ed., Ph.D) Asst. Professor is working since 1999.
The learning environment is enhanced by the use of smart classrooms and efforts are taken to ensure that the learning process is innovative and progressive, giving due importance to problem-based learning. Assignments and other learning activities are set in line with this approach. Peer learning, remedial classes, mentoring and value education, student-centric participatory learning and proper grievance redressal further ensure the holistic development of students. In addition extension and literary activities are regularly conducted – internships, gender sensitization program, Alumni Meets, faculty exchange program, visits to libraries of national repute, publication of College magazines, and the publication of a National peer reviewed journal, and ensures that workshops, conferences and seminars are conducted at regular intervals across the academic year.
Minor projects and frequent visits of literary luminaries and experts ensure the students’ engagement in academics. The Department also provides a Certificate Course in Functional English for career enhancement. The Department has produced several eligible students making their career in various areas of excellence. Distinguished alumnae who have made their mark in diverse places. The department is looking forward to start a Postgraduate Course in English Language and Literature besides it also aims to provide students career oriented and skill development based independent short term courses.

We use the computer with net facility at the college computers with Wi-Fi Facility.
College is well equipped with Wi-Fi and ICT enabled classrooms.
We have started communication English certificate course.
English Department have completed 25 Years. Through this subject hundreds of students have got degrees. Many students have got high position in various fields. Some students are forming their land and some are social journalist. They are in the path of development.
The Department organizes literary activities to promote the knowledge of the students time to time.
Department organized three days Calligraphy Workshop for improving writing skill of students. Organized National level seminar on “Literature and Journalism” and a webinar on “Emerging Trends in English and Urdu Literature”.
