Department of Physics
Chishtiya college is one of the oldest college of this region initially the college was established with Arts Stream in 1989.
The Excellent performance of college gained the trust of the Society, and also the demand to start science and commerce streams as well. Our founder Chairman Hon’ble late Mr. Abdul Azeem (Ex-Minister govt. of Maharashtra) had a vision and mission of providing quality education to the Society, which is continued by our existing chairman Mr. Ayyub Shaikh. With the endeavor of our Chairman the Science stream is started and affiliated in 2018 to fulfill the demand of the society. From the initial days itself the department gained great recognition from the students and received great interest of students for seeking admissions in it. The department of physics has a well-equipped laboratory and well experienced faculty.

The department of Physics has a very good culture of discipline, effective inculcations of required attitudes in the students to maintain conductive and cooperative atmosphere for learning and teaching.
Mission
The leading role of physics department is to develop strong skills of understanding and comprehending complex physical phenomenon. The department focuses on the development of logical thinking and improvement in the Laboratory skills of an individual, this will definitely lead better understanding of fundamental truths.

The aim is to transform the department into the center of excellence to impart quality education in different areas of learning.
The department aims to provide harmonious and conducive environment that expands the innate abilities of students.
Objectives
The department has a goal of providing quality education and simultaneously develop physical, moral and ethical values among the students to develop and build enlightened and produce responsible citizenship worthy of secular democratic state of India.
The department focuses to promote educational, intellectual, ethical and cultural development of society and introduce social transformation through education.
In future the department of physics aims to start postgraduate center and short term or certificate courses in physics.
