Department of chemistry
The Department of Chemistry is one of the leading departments of the faculty of Natural Sciences. Chemistry is the science of change.
By studying the basic properties of substances and the many transformations they undergo, the chemist finds solutions to scientific challenges contributes to the development of new technologies. The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 2018 for the course Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with the:
VISION
To develop the department as center of excellence in all aspects of education, research and development of basic technology in Chemical Sciences.
The development of fundamental understanding the emphasis on new structural, synthetic and theoretical techniques applicable in both academic and industrial context.
MISSION
We aim to provide the students with sound preparation requirements of modern industry and provide competency, in basic academic research as well as a cohesive, clearly structured overview of chemistry.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
- To provide a complete description of chemistry we live in.
- To give more systematic direction in interdisciplinary chemistry.
- To develop scientific attitude and sense of observation among the students.
- To obtain more attention from students towards chemistry and its temperament.
- To create opportunities to develop inborn skills.
Department have adequate infrastructure with sufficient well equipped laboratory with well qualified staff, satisfied strength & good result.
