DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS
Mathematics is a group of related Sciences including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus concerned with the study of number, quantity, shape & space, and their interrelationships by using a specialized notation.
IMPORTANCE OF MATHEMATICS
Mathematics helps us understand the world and provides an effective way of building mental discipline. Mathematics encourages logical reasoning (critical, creative, abstract, & spatial thinking). Problem-solving ability, and even effective communication skills.
ABOUT DEPARTMENT
- The department of Mathematics was established in the year 2018 in our college for the course of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc).
- Initially there were only one Class with 39 Students.
- After 2 years number of Classes were increased and student’s strength also increased.
- Now here are total 132 students of Mathematics in whole B.Sc.
- Library is well equipped with all academic textbooks of Mathematics.

The vision of the department to become a center of excellence in teaching & learning, and bring out the potential of students by providing them quality teaching.
MISSION
- To promote quality teaching, learning in the department to become the center of excellence.
- To ensure that our students will have the knowledge and skill that will help them not only succeed in the classroom but also be empowered by Mathematics to become productive citizens of our democratic society.
- To bring problem solving skill in students, and to teach them the use of Mathematical ideas to model real world and students should be able to communicate Mathematical ideas with others.
ACTIVITIES
The department has organized various extracurricular activities in Mathematics to bring interest among students, to make students acquainted with what are they learning and how can they use that knowledge in their real life.

- Teacher’s Day Celebration.
- State level webinar on “Career Guidance after B.Sc.”
