Title: Empowering Rural & First-Generation Learners Through Holistic Mentorship
1. Objectives:
- To bridge the academic divide for students coming from rural and socio-economically marginalized backgrounds.
- To provide bilingual and remedial academic support, soft skills, and competitive examination coaching.
- To reduce dropout rates and ensure gender parity in higher education enrollment.
2. The Context:
Khuldabad is a rural, semi-arid taluka surrounded by agrarian villages. A vast majority of admitted students are first-generation learners facing financial hardships and language barriers.
3. The Practice:
The college operates a structured Tutor-Ward Mentorship System where each faculty mentor is assigned 25–30 students. Regular counseling, fee concessions, book bank facilities, Remedial Coaching, and Career Katta guidance are systematically provided.
4. Evidence of Success:
Significant rise in degree completion rates, increased female participation in science and commerce, and dozens of alumni clearing competitive exams and securing employment.
Title: Eco-Conscious Campus, Biodiversity Conservation & Heritage Awareness
1. Objectives:
- To instill ecological responsibility and environmental stewardship in students.
- To promote conservation of local flora, rainwater harvesting, and waste segregation.
- To document the historical, botanical, and geological richness of Khuldabad and Ellora heritage corridor.
2. The Practice:
Through the Green Club and NSS Unit, the college conducts annual tree plantation drives, 'No Vehicle Days', botanical surveys of medicinal plants on campus, and heritage cleanliness drives around historic Khuldabad monuments.
3. Evidence of Success:
Lush green campus cover with over 300+ documented trees and medicinal plants, energy-efficient LED lighting, and university recognition for NSS community service.
